I'm here for you all with my two favourite Coping Tool. I don’t
know about you lovelies, but when I developed depression, I HATED listening to
music. Which of course made me feel worse, because like many others, music makes
my soul sing from the rooftops.
This is because
I found myself taking notice of all the words in the songs, reading far to much
into the lyrics, and what they meant to me.
Well how do
you listen to music to be happy, when the lyrics are making you sad? Well I’m
here to tell you. Are you ready??? It’s so simple, I bet you could guess. You listen to music in another language! Yes, that’s right. When you have no freaking
idea what they’re saying, they can’t upset you.
Now I’m
going to introduce you to my most first tool…KPOP!
I will not apologise, I'm not sorry!
You hate me
now, I know it. You can all blame my beloved Biological Soul Sister. Her Kpop addiction
is so strong it latches onto others and infects them with its capacity to make
you groove out.
YouTube will be your new kpop friend, because those Music Videos either make you smile
or 🤤
...............Sorry, where was I? Oh yer.
But Jess,
how do I know which Kpop songs are going to feed my music loving heart, without scouring
the web. Don’t you worry, I have you covered. I have Playlists out the wazoo for such an occasion.
Introducing tool #2
Spotify is my ultimate happiness tool. My husband will be the first to admit, he hates my music, but he loves how lifted my mood is. I dance around the kitchen cooking dinner with noise cancelling headphones. This kills THREE birds with one stone. My husband is free from my music, I get happy, and possibly my favorite is that I can't hear my kids whining at me. And if that last one isn't on your ultimate wishlist, I don't know what you're taking, but its clearly stronger than what I'm taking HA!
This App has saved many a head ache searching for music and creating playlists. When you sign up, you can create your very own playlists to make you happy, get you moving and pumped (very much like my sample below)
